Concept
This studio apartment is designed to be eclectic, moody, and inspiring. It was designed to fulfill the uprising needs of tiny living and a more sustainable lifestyle; which makes it perfect for a young resident. The walls and floors are designed to be fun yet neutral and affordable while offering the space the suitable base for furnishing. Colorful accents have been added throughout the main living space for visual interest also as an inspiration for the young architect. A large mirror was added besides the door to give the illusion of a larger space. The main unit in the living area is a desk/dining table/bookshelf/bed combo. Because of its simple yet intelligent design, it transforms in rapid, effortless movements through the used mechanisms to give the resident multiple possibilities without much trouble. The wardrobe is designed to hold maximum storage and serve multiple functions such as a shoe rack and a laundry hamper. A sitting unit and a small side table were added to the living space for maximum comfort. All the kitchen appliances were added to a compact unit (a small microwave, a mini fridge, a sink, and countertop stove) which also doubles as storage because of its design. The bathroom contains a compact sink/toilet combo unit that is designed to reuse sink water for toilet flushing.
